Review summary

Was very disappointed in that there was not a "ADULT ONLY" pool area... It was stated that there was a "ADULT ONLY" pool, we didn't find it or there was none... This was my first cruise and probably will be my last., unless I can find one with a adult area.  We went on this one because of the concert....thinking it was set-up for more adults than children.....I love children and have 4 grandchildren with respect for adults, I found on this trip the parents just let the children run, go and do as they please, no parental supervision....Totally disappointed.....It was not worth the money spend for the trip....

I highly recommend Princess Cruise Line. You won't catch too many children on Princess due to the nature of the line and the cost. That said, the cost is TOTALLY worth it!

It's the "adult only" solarium that attracted us to RCCL, I don't think for a minute that they don't have unruly children. But, in the past when we were on Carnival, they inforced the "adult only" area. We appreciated it! We hope RCCL does the same. What I was saying is NCL Escape doesn't have an "adult only" area.

royal Caribbean has unruly children too..

I cancelled our plans for NCL Escape because it doesn't have an adult only area. We are now on RCCL Oasis. Like you we love children and have 4 of our own, but when I want to get in a pool or relax in the sun I dont want kids splashing or running around and tripping over my chair. We love the adult only area.

Deck 9 is adult only, no pool area...Never go doing spring break or summer months...I love to cruise when kids are in /should be in school...#adulttraveltip

it's there, been to it. it's in the back, more like a hot tub than pool

It will be next to zero kids on Holland America line. Just other side of the population.

Jduggan, you may want to try a different cruise line. We have cruised many times with Royal Caribbean (RCI) and I believe all of their ships have a Solarium pool area which is for adults. They don't necessarily prevent children so much as it is understood that it is the quiet pool area. RCI also owns Celebrity whose target market is more mature. Try booking around Spring, Summer and Winter school break schedules as well.
