Review summary

Boarded the Carnival Paradise cruise ship, took own luggage on board instead of having them deliver it so we could unpack and go directly to the dining area.  Food was decent, their deserts could have been better, brought many to table to only discard, also upgrade needed on frozen ice cream (yogurt), Elation Restaurant Eggplant Parmesan sent back-horrible.  Salmon was great, so was their Pumpkin, Squash Yam Shepherd pie and Salmon.  Hamburgers, veggie burgers, salads, American Grill, Mongolian grill, sandwich deli not bad, cheeses, olives, and breakfast not bad.

Two pools on board (small sized) six hot tubs, basketball, water slide, shuffleboard, miniature golf, kids arcade play room, air hockey, ping pong, large outdoor chess board game, and more.  Library primarily for you to sit and read & play board games, books are not there to be taken out. Main Lido deck is where most of the action is.

Comedy shows at night, Karaoke, sing/dance shows periodically, PG and adult comedy nightly, bingo, lessons On how to make towel animals, captain dinner, casual nights, dress nights for picturesque shopping aboard ship all duty free.

Excursions - If booked thru Carnival and late getting back for boarding they will wait for you otherwise you may not get on board the ship to continue your cruise if booked outside of carnival.  You will pay a higher price however to book with Carnival but worth the peace of mind.   Always have ID pics and Carnival ship card with you; Always when leaving and boarding ship.

Suggest you walk the entire ship to see what is on it and where things are, it helps you to enjoy the ship to its fullest and find areas of interest for relaxing, listening to music, taking pictures, etc. they have a special area for adults only "serenity" room which is outside back of ship with lounge chairs, and hot tubs.  Let them take all the pics they want, you are not obligated to buy, if you like them, you buy if you don't you discard the pics in a recycled container.

The staff were excellent, they kept the ship clean and tried to accommodate your every need.  It was great to meet people from different countries, and USA states.  People were most friendly.

Ship tip

This is not the biggest or the smallest ship, it is a medium size ship. Was afraid of possible sea sickness, had none, smooth sailing, great time. Will definitely cruise again.
