Review summary

Our Carnival Paradise 5 night cruise meet expectations for a budget cruise. One should consider spending more, if they want a genuine cruise holiday. We wanted to scuba dive at Grand Cayman and Cozumel. We were not disappointed. Carnival arrived in Port on schedule and our dives were phenomenal as Caribbean diving can be. That said, our cruise experience was disappointing. For casual dining the buffet breakfast and lunches always had a long line. This seemed to result in mostly rude fellow passengers and bad manners. Perhaps if Carnival did not close down the buffet lines in the early afternoon, the passengers would be more relaxed. The food quality was fairly low as well. Skip the art auction. It is poor business practice for Carnival to try and hustle huge dollar amounts for cheap prints. More on board activities are needed like ship tours and cooking classes, wine tasting. Staterooms were clean and cruise staff superb.
