Review summary

5 day from LA to Cabo/Ensenada. A very relaxing get away from daily life. The sea was so smooth on this cruise. It was almost like sailing on a pond not the ocean. It was amazing.

Embarkation

Sailing from Long Beach CA is one of the easy ports to sail from. It’s fast and simple and the port workers have it down to an art.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

MDR was alright food wise and staff was good. The Blue Iguana has the best breakfast burrito I have ever had.

Onboard Activities

On average there is about 4 activities to do every 30 minutes of the cruise so there is always something to do.

Entertainment

Lots of social activities from deck parties to deck games and you normal cruise shows in the evening

Ship Quality

The spirt class of ships have the best ship layout of any carnival ship. Yes it doesn’t have a roller coaster but if you like I more traditional ship then the spirt class ship is a must to go on. The passenger to space ratio is a lot more than most other carnival ship so it never feels over crowded. With a two deck promenade and two deck lido that doesn’t include cabins meaning it’s the full deck is amazing. Also the main kitchen is beneath the dining room so you don’t have that awkward deck where the middle is blocked off. You can walk from bow to stern without having to go up a deck or down a deck which is really nice.

Normal carnival balcony has everything you need.

Ship tip

Just relax it’s a more traditional ship and the smoothest sailing ship I have ever been on. The serenity area was my go to to just chill.
