Review summary

This was my least desirable cruise of the 40 plus I have completed in past on various cruise lines. The customer service doesn’t meet expectations when there are no responses when needed and after the fact there is no interest to try to fix.

Embarkation

One Bag did not arrive until after 5/30 pm. I realize it can take a while but when the first bag is there before 2 pm and every other of forty cruises has never taken that long you start to worry.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Dining room was good, but was expected to pay additional price for entree options that have been included in past. Alchemy bar was best Part of the trip.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There were social activities. Nothing highlighted fitness wise I could remember. Went to the art show.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Comedian was terrific ! Violinist Trio were very good.

Children's Programs

Did not travel with children. Carnival normally would do a good job with kids activities.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Room and food personnel should actually run the customer service. Became very ill second to last day after eating on the lido deck. Customer service desk missed the “service” aspect of helping when someone has issues.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Closet doors were falling apart and did not close properly leaving an interior light on when trying to sleep. Instructed balcony cabin with such a dirty sitting area - can’t see anyone wanting to use it. Boat definitely showing wear and lack of attention.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Size was good. Balcony awkward to use. Dirty, obstructed in a major way !

Ship tip

Go to the Alchemy bar. Best part of the ship !
