Review summary

We took this cruise so that we could experience going through the locks into the Panama Canal. It was a good choice. The ship was just fine with us. Frankie, the cruise director was everywhere and he was really working hard to give everyone a special experience. The real highlight for us was the dining experience from the Matre'd to the servers. We would do this cruise again.

Main dining room: great service, good food, all with fun. Buffets had great variety and quality.

Although I did not take part, onboard activities were plentiful and well attended.

Entertainment

Entertainment was of high quality, but not age appropriate, too loud for us old people.

No children with us, but they seemed to be having fun,

Dining room service was a high point of the cruise. Everywhere we went, the service was great.

Ship Quality

Layout and cleanliness were just fine, but the ship is getting old and needs upgrading. This did not spoil our cruise as the ship was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

We were very pleased with our cabin. The obstructed view had no impact on our ability to enjoy the balcony. It was ideal while going through the locks in the canal.

Ship tip

Expect to be treated well whether in the dining room, at the Centrum bar, and everywhere else on the ship. They do a great job of making you feel special
