Review summary

We go for the cruise—not the ports. This was one of our best cruises. Great shows, very calm seas, perfect weather, friendly staff. The one think I did miss was Dive-In Movies. We so enjoyed that on prior cruises, but Miracle isn’t equipped for that.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
I am a Platinum VIFP, so embarkation was fast and easy. We use valet parking to make it even easier.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Great variety of drinks offered. Food was only a bit above average, but there was a wide selection offered. We did not do any of the specialty restaurants, but heard other guests raving about their experience. We did any time dining, and even though the lines looked incredibly long to be seated, they moved very quickly so we never waited long.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Our activities were just being laid back, reading, spa, hot tub.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment was exceptional. You must see the Alterr band. They are top notch. Comedians were very entertaining, and the Vegas-style shows were very energetic. Great talent on board. Piano Bar was a fun experience, as well as Red Frog Pub. Dr Frankenstein’s Lab was a bit much for my taste—too loud.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was wonderful, friendly, quick to respond to questions and needs. Many addressed us by name all week.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This ship has yet to be refurbished which I think is a plus. I like the tables around the pool areas instead of the Cantina Bar and Red Frog Bar. Everything was well kept and very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was everything we needed. Our friends were in next cabin so we had them open the balcony door between the two areas which made it nice without having to deal with an extra door in our cabin to access their space. Good closet space.

Ship tip

There truly are some good buys on watches/jewelry on the ship. I have bought several pieces over the years, and have never been disappointed.

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

4 out of 5
Port was for embarkation only.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

4 out of 5
Nice shopping area and easy access beach without having to be loaded into some mode of transportation to ge3t there.

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Good place to bargain for jewelry, but prepare to be cajoled by shop owners on the street to lure you into their shops (which are mostly cheap junk). People are very friendly and easy to talk to.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We were off the ship, through Customs and in our car by 9:30 am—ahead of all the traffic. We collected luggage after we cleared Customs which I think made it go quicker. It is now a verbal process—no more forms to fill out. Again, having Valet parking made it just that much easier to be on our way home.
