Review summary

Just one of the best vacations ever. Everything about the ship was just right; # of cruisers, # of staff, friendly nature of both. I have been on 2 other Carnival Cruises; this ship was the newest, cleanest, prettiest, most comfortable, overall the BEST! Amenities were of greatest variety; shows were good every night. Casino was very busy but slots were always available; free gaming lessons were informative and useful. Pool Decks crowded but always found a chair. Restaurant foods were great both in formal dining room and Horatio self-sevice restaurant; greatest variety of foods. Crowds were handled very well; getting on and off the cruise was the most efficient ever (a big improvement over the cruise we took last year). Don't forget the Spa and Gym; great to keep exercising while you overeat! A Vacation to Remember!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Probably the best on any cruise I have been on; late seating was uncrowded. Waiters were so attentive and gave excellent recommendations for menu choices. Food was presented beautifully and every dish was delicious. Even Spa menu was excellent.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great shows; the dancers/singers worked very hard. Entertainment crew (bingo, games, etc) were well spirited and very friendly.

Service and Staff

Most friendly. Every one was "going above and beyond"; met requests. Cabin Steward, Herbert (from Phillipines), was especially friendly; always addresssed us by name, asked about our day.

Ship Quality

Perfect size ship and # of cruisers. Even in rough weather, ship was comfortable. Clean and pretty everywhere; so colorful.

Cabin / Stateroom

Sized comfortabally. Always very Clean, nicely and simply decorated. Could use a wall clock. Most comfortable bed. Cute towel animals every night.

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Cruises.com trip "St Maarten Two Flags & Beach Bash Combo" was the best. Inexpensive, efficient staff, great tour guide (Joseph), informative, best lunch and beach (even chairs included). Port entrance is also gorgeous.
Don't Miss: Tour of the island.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Take the "Cataraman Fan-Ta-See" tour from Carnival. Freindly, fun crew, beautiful cruise on a huge cataraman. Snorkeling in secluded cove and beach lunch at Nevis. Plently of beach time. Drinks included on board the cataraman. Music, dancing, sunshine, long cruise under full sail back to port. A little pricey but worth it.

Castries, St. Lucia

Beautiful port. Didn't do a shore excursion. Went to church at the old downtown Cathedral. Walked the stores at the pier and around the old downtown. Took the ferry across the harbor.

Pros: Lots of time on ship, great ports to visit, most freindly ship crew.

Cons: Too much "selling" all kinds of stuff.
