It was a good cruise overall. Great to relax overall
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Embarkation was really slow, I went on the Magic a few months before this cruise and it was way faster. My boarding time was at 10:30 and we didn’t get to board until 12:00pm. The port doesn’t have a lot of chairs so imagine having multiple boarding groups from different boarding times packed into the terminal. Also the terminal was a little hot.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Gotta love Guys Burger Joint. At first I didn’t like it at all but by day 3 I was in love. On sea days go to Pig and Anchor!!!! The food there is amazing. Dining room food was nice, the only thing I notice was that the food was in smaller portions. Back in 2013 there was larger portions on the MDR
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
I felt this Carnival Cruise was kinda quiet. Not as many activities but I believe it was thanks to COVID. There were the production shows which were ok, and trivia. Pools were full almost every day.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The MDR staff was amazing. I mean I already knew most of them since I traveled on the Magic a few months back so they remembered me. The cabin steward…. Well I didn’t like him at all. He was always grumpy for some reason and I tried talking to him but he always dismissed me by telling me he didn’t have time for that. Huh???
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
This cabin is the perfect cabin in my opinion. You can see the bridge and when arriving in port you can see how the bridge operates. I really loved this cabin.
Ship tip
Book the shore excursions early. Most of the good ones tend to sell out. Also, do Your Time Dinning if you like the service to go wayyyy faster than traditional dinning time
