Review summary

Horrible experience and nothing Carnival would do! Lucky if we ever travel on this cruise line again let alone this specific ship! So many cruises with Carnival and never again.

We sailed the Magic last Aug, too, and loved it! We had an aft balcony cabin and connected our balcony to our friend's next door. I thought the food was pretty good. We had an amazing wait staff in the MDR so it made our food even better! If ever I sail it again, I will insist on being seated with Nino! My only complaints were the sewer smell in the hallways the first half of the cruise (it was apparently full until we got to our first port) and our bed.... the bed was the worst. I know the are firm mattresses, which I can tolerate, but ours was very worn out and sunken in. I went to GS and all they could do was offer another mattress topper.

Yes I do know that. That's why we were shocked when they told us they placed us wrong after 6 nights.

You know they assign you table numbers for fixed seating. How did they put you at the wrong table?

I was on the same cruise in August 20, 2016 and I decided to once again sail the Magic this past August. We had an amazing time. There are so many different dining options, so when folks complain about the dining options, it's a mute point. Regarding the cabin, our cabin was always up to par and if I had an issue, GS would have been tired of seeing my face.

Disney is great but at those prices I can only do one in a lifetime. There are quite few decent affordable cruise lines to suit what works for each of us. We are all different.

Goin to be honest I have not done anything but Disney.. I have spoken to so many people old and young with kids and without that have tried other lines and just come back to Disney.. it’s a bit pricey but I do beleive u get what u pay for... with a shot anyway lol do some research Disney is not for everyone but if u been one and ur asking questions I think u should give it a try.. I don’t think u will be dis appointed... 7 Disney cruises u see my belt and will stick with them!! Any certain questions u have I will do my best to awnser

We went on the Magic 3x when she was in Galveston. Everything was always amazing. Well, maybe not the buffet food, but then again, I’m a picky eater. 😉 Better luck next time!

Magic is one of our favorite ships. No issues and have been on it twice. Better luck on your next cruise line. Carnival rocks!!!

I haven't been on Disney since I was a child but would love to do it again! What do you like best about Disney and how does it compare amongst the rest dvddog76?

13 With Carnival, 2 on the Magic. Never one issue.

Yes, dining room food could have been better, but I am gluten intolerant and the wait staff knew this but by day 5 they decided to bring me something i knew may have gluten so I questioned it and they insisted it didn't. I didn't eat it but then next night they did it again with another entree and by this time I had no idea it had it in it so I ate it and let's just say my cruise experience wasn't great! Not only that, but we were placed at the wrong table the first six nights on a ten day cruise and then they apologized and moved us with a larger group but then at this time we were the outcasts of the table. The rooms were very dirty every other day on this particular cruise and I've been on fourteen (not just Carnival). Carnival said they apologized and but they didn't do anything for us in enticing us to go on another cruise in the future. There is more that happened but this was the most of it.

What happened? Be more specific. My last cruise the dining room food could have been better. The buffet at dinner wasn't very good. Other than that everything was top notch.
