7 Night Eastern Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip)
Sail Date: February 12, 2012
Ship: Carnival Magic
Cabin Type: Inside
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 5 years ago
If you like constant crowds, you will love this ship. It seems that the huge size of the ship is in additional berths and not in the public areas. Good for Carnival but not so good for Carnival's customers.

Your time dining was a negative for us but a reserved early dining table was not available even though we were not late in making our tour reservations.

Food and Dining

I would have much preferred a reserved table to a Your Time table. You end up lining up even earlier to try and get a good table. The food was excellent.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The shows were great but fewer than most ships.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
400 kids on the ship but you seldom saw them. Programs must be good.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

Too big. Too many people. Always crowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

Pros: The Food

Cons: Too many people for the size of the common areas.

Recommends Carnival Magic? No.
