My wife and I cruise a lot, mostly on Royal. This ship was a rust bucket and a big letdown. Poor service with no one taking responsibility for anything. It is a much lower class ship than we are used to. We took it because our kids and grandkids were coming, so it was a cost issue.

Food and Dining

Only 1 good waiter, Joly. The rest were very sour. No help with my wife's chair/napkin.
Buffet food was mediocre. Burrito bar was good. They did have HOT Chocolate! Prefer Royal
Onboard Activities

None really that interested me. I prefer the privacy of my pool and hot tub at home. Casino was a rip off/defective machines or maybe intentional, arbitrarily taking $6 extra when closing out on three different machines and they didn't care. "Free" drinks while playing was a joke as they never came around to take orders.

Our daughters loved it for our grandchildren.
Service and Staff

Most did not seem to be of any help, never smiled, didn't act like they liked their job. Cruise director was fun.
Ship Quality

Dark, outdated, rusty, ceilings dripping Hard to find places. Needs retired or refurbished.
Cabin / Stateroom

Rust on the ceiling. Mattresses were hard. Wasn't able to sleep with my wife. Tried to switch rooms to no avail.
We chose it because of price when we went with the whole family! Our servers were over the top amazing back then, we had such a great time, but the bed was definitely iffy for us as well.
Maybe you should stay home and enjoy your pool and privileged attitude. What a great attitude to display in front of your grandchildren. I'm glad you will stay away from Carnival, try servicing 1000's of people and some who think they have personal and individual servers. Wow, and you are the reason Americans are viewed in a negative manner.
