Review summary

The weather put a damper on my first cruise. I was unable to enjoy the beaches like I imagined. The weather was so rocky a few of my family members became ill. It rained so much that the outside decks were cold, windy, and wet. It was so crowded and common areas due to the weather outside being so bad. I'm a little surprised that Carnival would plan a trip in that type of weather

Embarkation

3 out of 5
It was easy to set sail

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Everything was clean and nice. Lines were long, but overall it was a good experience

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
On board activities were not the best do to the weather. We had very bad weather

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The comedians were not funny. Carnival needs to book funnier people. The DJs were excellent. Carnival should hire different races for the performances.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our waiter Krisma was excellent. He made our ship awesome. Imade was also an excellent waiter. Randy and Suniantara were excellent room attendants. They made sure our room was always clean and full of supplies. They made the trip very enjoyable.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship design was nice, and it was always clean. The elevators were slow

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Nice and clean. Comfortable bed

Ship tip

Don't book your trip in December

Hopefully that is your last cruise. Obviously not a cruiser.

Oops sorry 😞 thanks, I've seen all types of cruisers and performers

And “the shows were very white”. Racist much? Have you looked around a cruise ship? Nationalities from around the globe. There are few places on earth where one can experience as much diversity as on a cruise ship, yet you stoop to making racist comments. If this is how you see it, probably best not to cruise in the future. Performers from around the globe. Some white, brown, and black. The color of the skin does not determine who or what someone is. Many of those people wish they had the opportunities we as Americans take for granted. So very sad..

You’re kidding, right?! “Surprised Carnival would plan a trip in that weather”. Might as well say, we are surprised you would plan a trip in that weather 🙄. To state the obvious, we, nor the cruise lines have control over the weather, and as big a front as just passed through, there was no avoiding it. This weather event affected cruises out of Florida, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and throughout the Caribbean. Weather related events are always possible. It’s like someone planning an outdoor wedding then complaining when the weather is less than ideal. Things happen. Roll with it and find other things to do. We have sailed during two hurricanes and a tropical storm, yet our cruises were still amazing! Make the best out of it next time.

You book a trip in the winter and you expect summer weather? Entitled idiots that do not do due diligence but whine they are dissed when Mother Nature does not do what they want.

you're whining about the weather that carnival has no control over, yet you'd be whining if they cancelled due to wind and rain that is very common for every line to sail through. shows were very white? wow...ok....I really have no comment for that.... except.. what's the matter with you? so your ship may not have had any other race for performers.... carnival has many performs of all races.... stop with that stuff

As a first time cruiser you have much to learn. Carnival does not control the weather. But you can choose to cruise at times of year when the weather is favorable.

So you would prefer Carnival not to travel in bad weather?

The shows were very white? What’s wrong with you?

Seriously?? You are complaining about the weather??

Thanks for sharing. The reality is that bad weather can drastically affect a 4 day cruise. Longer cruises move around and visit multiple ports, so the chance of bad weather for an entire 10 or 12 day cruise is much less. Unless you book during hurricane season, then good luck with that.
