We paid for the drink package ahead of time but it wasn’t working and we were charged for everything. We had to go back to guest services 5 times to get everything corrected. Didn’t know I couldn’t get bottled water on my package plus their tea is the worst I have ever tasted. I had to give into drinking pop just to have something to drink. Also someone changed my tip amount to $11 instead of the $1 left. Also someone hacked my debit card and I had to notify fraud charges so I was left with no money for the teamsters of the trip.
Onboard Activities

Played deal or no deal which was fun. Overall the activities are too hard to find and the shop is not easy to navigate.

They had 80’s night but didn’t know about it so wasn’t dressed for it.

Nice people that aren’t paid enough and work too many hours. You can tell they are tired and miss their family.

Room was always cleaned. I wish we were notified there is only 1 outlet to use.
Ship tip
Bring your own extension cords, bottled water and cash. You do not need to tip anyone as the gratuity is already paid for.
👆in addition to the previous comments about researching and planning, I have a few vacation rules:
1. Stay flexible
2. Try something new every day
3. No complaining, you’re on vacation.
4. Have fun and focus on the experience
So debarkation gets 1 star because the custom agents were rude? Do you know that custom agents have nothing to do at all with the cruiseline. As all the commenters said:
Do a little research and avoid most of that trouble. But maybe cruising isn’t just the right thing for you.
Next time please do some research before your cruise and it will be a much better experience. But since this was your first vacation ever as you say, just consider it practice and a learning experience. Live and learn!
I second most of the comments here! You did not do your homework or research! My first cruise started out bad until I learned how to research and get the information I needed to know! The people on the ship were very helpful and accommodating. We even had some other cruisers give us some pointers that helped. Now we cruise about 2 times a year and wished I could do 4 times a year!
Thanks for the review but you need to do homework or talk to previous cruisers for tips.... wow yes first time cruisers don't let this review keep you from trying a cruise.... far from the normal first time .... i was in heaven
Your own fault for not doing your research or being able to read the ship maps that are literally everywhere. I hope no other first time cruiser gets persuaded by your ridiculous review.
Thanks for posting the review. Sorry for your disappointing vacation. Several of your disappointing experiences could have been avoided if you had done a little research prior to boarding the ship. Knowing the details of the drink package such as inclusions and exclusions is a prime example.
All the things you say you didn't know were on the website and in your documents to read! Not their fault you failed to do any research! A vacation is what you make it.
