Embarkation
5 out of 5
We arrived late so smooth sailing through embarkation process. Muster station review was very minimal compared to past experiences on other cruise lines - not sure if this is a carnival thing or change since COVID.

Food and Dining

Our dinner dining experience was AMAZING and are service staff made us feel so welcome (shout out to bambang and sue!) We did try the buffet one morning for breakfast and was not the best, so we returned to the dining room for our other breakfasts. Pizza station and burger station was a big hit during our cruise - amazing snacks after returning to the ship!
Onboard Activities

Pools did not look sanitary and referenced as a petri dish multiple times…
Visiting the spa we got to see the fitness center, and while we didn’t get to use it since we didn’t bring proper attire, we wish we would have because it was very nice!
Entertainment

Favorite show was the Love & Marriage show!!! It’s was funnier than the comedy shows, that our group was highly disappointed in - they were not very funny. The combined show on the last night was the best comedy show, but again, not as funny as the cruise director, who was overall a big hit on our cruise.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our dining staff was amazing!! Had the same staff every night and they made us feel welcomed and were very accommodating to our gluten free guest of the group. Bambang and Sue were amazing!! Our room steward did great and turning over our room but overall the cleanliness of our room wasn’t the best. Some of our towels were stain and had hairs on them.
Ship Quality

This was a very outdated ship. This was the smallest ship I have ever been on and with the storms (I assume) we rocked sooo much! The layout was very confusing as the ship was so small it was hard to navigate floors that you could walk all the way through without going stateroom areas. Going from other ships/cruise lines this boat did not meet my expectations. It smelt like sewage throughout most of the ship and there were many repairs that needed to be fixed (the stairs, baseboards held by duck tape, and so much more). BUT with that being said, this was the cheapest option and I feel like we learned that we should have paid alittle more and gone on another ship. I feel like we got what we paid for, so we tried to keep the complaining to a minimum while we were on the ship.
Cabin / Stateroom

Overall we got what we paid for… trying to go on a trip with 8 people as cheap as possible, we were stuffed sardines in our tiny interior rooms. We made it work, so it’s not impossible to do, but tight on space for sure.

Experience here was better than in the past. We actually enjoyed getting off at this port, where in the past I sometimes decide to skip getting off here.
The beach was very nice, but our service with our kayak rentals was not the best. Very confusing directions that led to us having to do much more walking back and forth than expected.
I believe carnival provides a good experience at a good value for the mass market. If you want a elitist experience book the luxury cruise lines, but don’t knock the main stream cruise lines.
We felt the same way. Wanted a cheap getaway!! Never did get in pools or hot tubs! Never could smell chlorine which they should have been with that many people like a pee pool!!
