Review summary

This was our 3rd carnival cruise, and just might be our last. The character of carnival is not there any more. From beginning to end. It just felt like a rushed, impersonal experience. Durin embarkation, was we were on the ship, no one to greet us, or say where to go or what to do. Just endless amounts of people wandering about. The food was not carnival of a few years ago for sure. The best part was the private island

Buffet was fine. But food in main dining room was same as dinner buffet. Only difference was appetizers and deserts. The obvious new carnival scam is, that if you want true main dining room food, like it always used to be, you have to pay $48 per person per night to be able to go to diamonds steakhouse. EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED in main dining room food quality.

We felt the ship itself was ok. Old but kept up. As we boarded announcements were made to go to your muster station for lifeboat drill. Ok we wanted to get that over with. Went to our station 5 others were there crew with ipad showing a 5 min video!! Dismissed!! Yea. Ha!! We finally got to our room then luggage cam! As we were unpacking announcements made go to muster station again and again now!! I opened ship mate and bold red go to station now per captain???! We went and sorta got yelled at bc we didn’t do muster!!?? Im like your an idiot!!! We were here along with 5 other couples who if you had taken our names and not just stand around bullcrapping this would not be a problem!!! Next some people felt the rules were not for them where smoking was concerned!!! In the elevators!!! In the buffet lines women in g-string suits no cover ups!! This was breakfast!! Barefoot??? The stuff spilled on the floors no way would i go barefoot!! Carnival!! Enforce the rules!!! Going back to RCL

Wow! Carnival Liberty was the first ship I ever cruised on back in 2017. She was the ship that made me fall in love with cruising. It's disappointing to read that the service on her has deteriorated over the years. I'm so sorry that your experience wasn't the best. Thank you for your honest review.
