Review summary

All in all I had a FUN time on the Carnival Liberty. I would sail this ship or a ship like it again but I would probably splurge for a nicer room (verandah) and I’d probably stick to a 3 or 4 night itinerary as I don’t know if the ship itself could entertain me for more than 4 days.

Guys burgers are delicious and I ate one every day! Also the steakhouse is worth the upgrade compared to main dining room!

For a 4 night cruise this was fun. But if this sailing had been any longer I could have used some more slides or outdoor activities.

Entertainment

Talented singers and loved the live musicians in the main stage production. I’ve seen bigger and better. But for the size and limitations this ship has I enjoyed it.

From day 1 the AC didn’t work. They offered us a fan which did help the issue. Only issue was the Liberty rooms only had 2 outlets ( which we needed for phones). So we had to knock down some board behind the tv to get access to a third outlet for the fan. Then on the 2nd day I come to our room and out stateroom host and an engineer are in there saying there’s no water in the shower. It should be fixed before the next morning. Which it was but if I shower at night that would have disrupted my routine. I called and spoke with GS about this. I wasn’t angry and didn’t even ask for a room upgrade as it was a short 4 night cruise but I expected maybe $25 on board credit. They just apologized for the inconvenience and did nothing else.

Ship tip

The ship is old but still has a fun atmosphere thanks to the crew and the other guests. If your looking for experiences like BOLT your not going to find them on this ship.

Some of the best snorkeling I’ve ever done was at this island. Only reason it’s not getting 5 starts is because the food at the island was 1 star!

Just got off Liberty! The ship was old but wasn’t bad. Need more entertainment if longer. Im sticking to RC lines
