Review summary

This was our first cruise ever and it was a great experience overall. I think we are hooked and already saving and planning for our next cruise. Carnival Liberty crew really made the cruise high energy and fun. The casino was lots of fun. The cruise director Adam was amazing and brought the energy to keep you having fun!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our waiter, Percival, was polite and attentive. He knew all our names and made us feel like family. The room steward was friendly and kept our suite spotless. The rest of the crew, especially the cruise director Adam were amazing! Party!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship layout and design was a little confusing but this was our first cruise. Once we figured the layout, it was easy getting around the ship. The ship was always clean but there was a slight smell of sewage in the lower decks near the rooms.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was clean and functional. Plenty of closet space and hangers. The mattress was a bit on the firm side and there was only one electrical outlet.

Ship tip

Tips for your Carnival Liberty cruise... download the app and go through all the activities and heart the ones you're interested in. There's plenty going on so this will help you stay on schedule. Check out the port excursions early and book them.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Well organized. Everyone was polite and helpful. Boarding the ship was smooth and surprisingly fast.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Absolutely beautiful! We did the Top 10 excursion since this was our first cruise and first time in Nassau. Very interesting history lessons along the way. The stops were opportunities for food and drink tastings and gift purchases. My only complaints are: Wish the driver used a microphone and the stops were a little longer. Still, we all enjoyed ourselves.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
So beautiful... paradise. There are large rocks in the water so wear water shoes! We did get a rain storm that lasted about an hour but that just added to the experience.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Not as smooth as the embarkation but well organized. Tip: Get a passport. The line was shorter and faster and got us out of the port much quicker.

Welcome to the wonderful world of cruising. Happy to hear that you are already planning your next one. Appreciate your detailed review. Glad you enjoyed your first cruise. Even after all these years we do a self guided tour of the ship (top to bottom) to familiarize ourselves with the layout on boarding day.
