Overall, for $150.00 per person, it was fun but also disappointing if you had to pay $ 1000.00 ! Carnival is cutting big time. Very sad about the MDR. Just remember, the MDR is an Appleby's now and the special dining, in this case, only the steakhouse, is like Ruth Chris/Capital Grille. Spend the extra 30-50.00 for specialty, you won't be disappointed. Wish the Liberty had other pay restaurants. And of course the TV channels still suck... no live sports at all... and for Football Sundays, they have 3 games and expect 2500 people to sit in the tiny sports bar? Maybe put the redzone on the outside big screen... so 1000 people could watch instead of 40 crapped in sports bar.

Main dining room has good to the Sh!tter! Even the bread! Very small portions now, so if you want more than 2 little pieces of broccoli, order 2 orders. Yes, you can order as much as you want. But keep in mind, once you get your order and you want more, it will take another 5-10 mins, don't wait. As for breakfast, weather the buffet or MDR, toast is ALWAYS cold and butter is ALWAYS frozen? I get it, 3k people, but this was not the case for 20+ years of cruising.

Pools are were packed as usual, standard. Piano bar player was a drag... not funny, not entertaining, kept asking people to sing, who were horrible... and no matter where you went, people were doing filming for their social media accounts hoping to be famous.. The cruise director was great for the halloween thriller dance.. but after that, he was an egotistical narcissist who had to be the center of attention.. example.. 80's music trivia.. we like trivia... he shows up dress like Madonna... it is about trivia.. and half way through he decides to say screw trivia and wants to dance to the 80's songs.. yes, he gets the crowd (more than half) to dance with him.. but WTF happen to trivia? Not everyone is there to dance and crap.

They did a rock music show and had men with SOPRANO high voices singing hard metal rock socks.. OH MY! Worst than a High School Musical. As stated Piano singer was a drag.. talking about depression in his life with his BFF dying in car wreck.. just a drag.. Comedians were pretty good however... they usually are either Awesome, good, or okay.. always worth it. Packed for all 4 shows we went to. People love Comedy.

Not a 5 star because for the first time in 35+ cruises, we did see a steward for 2 days.... and they never touched our room the first day AT ALL.. even left the bed luggage protector on the bed... Also found out they no longer service the room in the evening... meaning if you take 2-3 showers, you need to call to get towels... no more turndown service, chocolates, light setting etc.. all GONE!
Ship Quality

We have been on the Liberty 5 times.. we like the ship, but it needs overhaul now. at least 4 decks smell of sewage.. really bad.. AWFUL!
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was good, the hot water control in shower was broke and they could not fix it during our cruise. we had luke warm shower at best. The small of sewage on Deck 6 was GROSS!
Ship tip
You MUST go to the Steakhouse. So worth. Steakhouse is what the MDR used to be in the 90s-2000s Highlight of the cruise. Also, the sea day brunch (breakfast for us) served fresh baked, still hot, croissants... and was told they all server those during brunch, which is not like the standard croissants (which were cold and hard)
We went to Bimini. Very new cruise port.. not much there but the beach and a resort.. very little shopping areas.. we always try to buy products made by locals in ports and this was not an option.
Easier and easier.. went to MDR at 640 am.. off ship in care at 710 am.. awesome.. so much better than going to the theater in the old days and watching a full 2 hour movie and still being there.
We are on the Ship currently. No smell at all. Food was good, staff is Great! Steward Jose is fantastic! Today is day at sea, we will look for the horrible things we haven't found So far. Our Suite is great too and winning in the Casino as usual!
Sounds like you had a rough time. I will agree to the MDR being kind of weird about things like bread/rolls and something that came with broccoli had two pieces of it (on Conquest). I did find my food was often not warm enough. Hoping it’s a glitch with all the new hires.
