Review summary

This cruise had potential, but being woken every night kind of ruined it. It does seem the odor is mostly in the forward area of the ship. We did meet very nice people. Food and drinks were good, especially Alchemy. We will not sail this ship again until something is done to remedy the sewage odor issue. I have heard others deal with the same issue on Liberty on another social site.

All the crew we interacted with were so nice and friendly. Loved our cabin stewardess NiNi, she is such a sweetheart.

We had cabin 1120 on Spa deck 11. Most things with cabin were good,BUT there was a terrible sewage odor that comes in the cabin through the air conditioning vent over the bed. It would wake us 3-4 times a night, it was very aggravating to wake to that smell, it was worse through the night. Also, we knew this before booking this cabin, there’s no coverage over the balcony, so if it’s raining you can’t go out, and if someone is at the railing above on deck 12 they can look down on you. There are USB ports on the one nightstand next to the bed.

Ship tip

Bring straws, especially if you enjoy frozen drinks. I also always take a wristlet to carry around, I put my straws and phone in it. Also we bring a multi plug adapter

Princess Cay, this is the area for cabanas. There's no beach in front of them, just a rock wall, and you have to walk a distance to get in the water

While I didn’t have the odor issue on my last Liberty cruise I have on others and I’m cruising on Liberty this winter. CCL needs to start listening to passengers and figure it out! Appreciate your review.

Thanks for the review. Glad you enjoyed most of it. My daughter was on the Valor two weeks ago and mentioned a noticeable sewage smell as well. I am wondering if they changed a process or chemical used to treat the sewage and it is not taking care of the smell as well as what they used previously.

Be sure to contact Carnival direct in regard to the sewage smell. Seems to be happening on a couple of ships based on others reviews. Hate y’all had to deal with that, but glad the remainder of the cruise was enjoyable! Happy Sails 🛳🏝
