Please don’t waste your money on this ship. Honestly royal Caribbean is so much better. We will never do carnival again after this cruise, feel like I wasted $1,400. My husband said 3 out of 10, but that would be generous in my opinion.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Small portions, 3 restaurants charge even 2 on pool deck, drink package limits u to 15/day, can’t use drink card on the private carnival island like u can on royal caribbean. Buffets close pretty early now. Cutbacks were blatantly obvious. I’m done with carnival after this one.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Pools were so packed couldn’t move. Not enough activities for day at sea. Movies shown were old old old
Entertainment
1 out of 5
Worst singers and dancers I’ve ever seen on a ship. Went to first night show and skipped the rest and opted for comedians instead who were decent. The singing was like nails on a chalkboard and show was cheesy as hell, looked like a high school production lol.
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
Wait staff spread thin. Room guy was good but he had so many cabins he couldn’t finish all in am
Ship Quality

Lampshades we’re all old and stained.deck didn’t drain well from rain.
Ship tip
Pick a royal Caribbean cruise instead. Carnival trying to cut back too much to make up for all the non cruising during covid. Never again
Wish I could give 1/2 star. Can’t use drink package even tho It’s their island. 2 drinks were $28 ! Paid for clamshell for shade but ended up leaving it cause NO air gets to u so save your money and find a chair under the many palms. Flies were insane on the island.
Can’t wait I always go in November or December !! I live in Fl and summer is just miserable less kids in winter I love the cheesy shows they always make us laugh I guess it’s all what you make of it
Have you also sailed on RC again since the cruise restart? If not I wouldn’t discount Carnival completely because of 1 cruise. Judging by the reviews on here none of the cruise lines are back to the standards of pre-covid so you may be disappointed whoever you go with.
I’m sorry your cruise wasn’t good for you. I hope your next cruise meets all of your expectations and you have a great time. We have only cruised 8 times, 3 Royal Caribbean and 5 Carnival, but we have enjoyed all of them to the fullest.
I realize that cruising may not be what it was before Covid but our first post Covid cruise in May on the Carnival Magic was awesome.😀
Thank you for taking the time to share your review.
