Review summary

The cruise director Justin and the staff were all really friendly, upbeat, and accommodating. I was disappointed with the food and over crowded pools. Only made it in the pool once the entire trip. I would definitely choose a newer, larger updated ship if we cruise again!

I was disappointed in the food in the dining room. We only opted to eat there 2 out of 4 days as it was not what we expected. Guy Fury burgers were probably the best thing we ate on the cruise.

Pools were too crowded. Didn't see a rock wall or surf pool.

Ship had sewage smells on certain floors. Ship needed updating!

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was kept very clean by room attendet. He was amazing I was disappointed in the style and size. I booked late balconies and Oceanview were sold out. I would not book an interior in the future.

Ship tip

If you choose to cruise on the Liberty balcony room is a must! I would choose an off peak week to avoid an over crowded ship!

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

Nassau was really conjested. Booked tour of Nassau excursion which included Atlantis. After touring in the bus downtown Nassau finally made it to Atlantis to find out we only get 30 minutes to explore. Very disappointing and misleading. I would not have chosen that tour had I known. I would've booked a different excursion!

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

I really enjoyed Princess Cay it was the highlight of the trip. Only thing I would've added is maybe some additional dining options even if the were an additional cost

Chose to take our own luggage and left at 7. We were muster station A and got out super fast!

Oh, and I’d suggest you leave a review for the Atlantis excursion on the carnival site. That’s so helpful because I always read the reviews carefully to make sure I understand how much time we’ll be at the attraction, etc.

We’ve looked at other cruise lines with more updated decor and just can’t beat the value of going with Carnival. Sorry to hear the main dining room was disappointing— we always choose the dining room over the buffet food and have never had a bad experience. Totally agree that Guys is the best, balconies are best, and cruise off-peak times!! Best wishes for your next one!!

Royal Caribbean is the cruise line with Rock Wall and Surf pool. Carnival has never had either.

Fun cruise

Mother daughter trip and we definitely enjoyed it! The ship shows wear but is beautifully decorated and clean. No bells and whistles but a solid cruise for an excellent price! The money we saved we spent on excursions and jewelry and the spa!!! Win win!!
