Review summary

Overall, it was a great experience! This was the Sailabration cruise, and while not everything they promised was granted, it was still a great time! The ship meet-up was such a wonderful experience! Glad that I got to be a part of carnival history! The crew went above and beyond, as they usually do! Will be back on the Liberty in December!

Embarkation

It was a much easier time than before getting on the ship! The lines were super short. However, the wait once through the line seemed to take forever! I'm sure it actually wasn't that long, but the anticipation of getting on the ship made it seem like forever! Lol! All the employees were super friendly! We had one guy that led us through singing "Celebrate"! It was a great start to a wonderful trip!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Everything was good as usual! Had a burger at Guy's burgers. The fries were just...eh. Ate lunch at the Ol' fashioned BBQ restaurant twice. It was delicious! The main dining room was good. The shrimp was fabulous that I got two servings of it! The desserts were great as well!

Silver Olympian Restaurant

5 out of 5

The food and service was EXCELLENT!! I didn't have one bad dish! Our serving team was the best! And the show each night was so much fun!

Pizzeria

4 out of 5

We ordered pepperoni pizza several times aboard. It was decent. However it was very greasy. But I have had worse.

Emile's Lido Restaurant

4 out of 5

The food was decent. Just wish there was more of a variety.

Piano Man Bar

4 out of 5

Alejandro was great. He was very personable and tried to make everyone feel welcomed.

Guy's Burger Joint

4 out of 5

The burgers were good. The fries left a bit to be desired!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed playing trivia. I was hoping for the craft activities again, but didn't see them on this sailing. Also didn't see the towel folding class. Would have loved to participate in that had they had it.

Flowers Lobby

5 out of 5

A beautiful area to just sit and relax. Also a great place for the trivia.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Playlist production crew was wonderful! We did not watch Flick but we did enjoy the rock show. They really gave it their all and looked as though they were having so much fun! It truly made it enjoyable! Alejandro at v the piano bar was a lot of fun also. He was very personable! Loved hearing him talk and sing! The violin trio was amazing. So much talent!

Venetian Palace Main Lounge

5 out of 5

Such a beautiful area! Plenty of seating. A good view almost anywhere you sit!

Carnival Seaside Theater

5 out of 5

Always enjoy laying out on a lawn chair while enjoying a movie! The weather was perfect.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the crew was super wonderful! Everywhere we went, they were friendly and willing to help!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The layout was not the friendliest. The dining we had was on the third deck. We had to go down to the 5th deck, walk to the aft of the ship, then go down to the third deck. To us a few days to figure this out. There was a lot of walking those first couple of days! Not good for the one in our party that has a bad hip and recent knee replacement.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was at the very front of the ship. Only had another room on one side of us. There was next to none when it came to foot traffic. However, pretty much EVERYTHING was at the other end of the ship so it was a long walk to go anywhere. The room was a normal balcony room.

Ship tip

The third floor does not go the whole length of the ship. Give the ol' fashioned BBQ restaurant in the 10th deck a try!

Ports of call

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

5 out of 5
Such a beautiful area! We did the Garden of the Groves and shopping tour. It was a nice comfy bud ride with our very knowledgeable drive, Phillip Knowles. He gave a great history of Freeport along with some humor in the mix. Our guide at the Garden of the Groves was Marilyn. She was the best!!! Such a sweet soul! She really made it a wonderful experience!

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
The new terminal is absolutely beautiful! Trying to figure out the parking deck was a bit confusing.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It was extremely easy! Very little waiting. Nothing like it used to be! We were able to stay in our room (or wherever we wanted to be) until they called our muster to disembark. There was no congestion. Loved it!
