It was alright. We did not get what we paid for.

Review summary

We have a family of 6 with 4 small kids so we had to purchase two rooms. We upgraded to balcony staterooms under the guidance of the booking agent who stated they would open up into each other. Upon arrival we realized that it wasn’t the case. Our room staff said they had those types of rooms on the ship but we didn’t receive them. When talking to customer service they said they were all booked and could not move us. I would have never paid all that extra money if I had known that we could not move between rooms. Our stay was very stressful not being able to move between the rooms easily.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
Embarkation was relatively smooth. We got on the ship and took our luggage to our rooms. The ship closed down all food and beverage services for a very long safety brief. We had traveled 6 hours to get to the ship and were starving. We got on the ship at 2 and they did not open the food until 6.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The alcohol was very watered down and the beer was warm. The wine was stale. The food was decent but sub par. Golden Corral is better, which doesn’t say much.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
There were good activities but everything was overcrowded with lots of lines.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Camp ocean was great. The staff was helpful and accommodating. They had a few events where we could not drop off the kids and that was a bit inconvenient. The printed itinerary did not match what was actually happening.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Everyone was very nice and accommodating.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It was very nice with lots of pools and amenities.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
It was very clean and nice. We were supposed to get two rooms that opened up to one another but did not. It made our stay very difficult with 4 young kids.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Easier urban embarkation.

Wine gets stale? I don’t let mine go that long. Lol. I have to say I’ve never had warm beer and watered down drinks on any of my cruises.

We always pick our cabin and make sure we understand what we are getting. The agent should have known if they were adjoining or not.

Just another note! All venues close during the safety briefing no matter what cruise line. They open again as soon as the briefing is finished. Sorry you feel you went hungry, but now you know not to wait until the last minute to board.

If you have specific needs you absolutely have to pick your own cabins. If you allowed the agent to pick and they made the mistake, then you need to go back to them to make it right.

You did not mention how you booked it but who ever you agent was they did not look out for your needs. We never book thru cruiseline and always pick our rooms. Your agent should of recommended a large family type room or possibly a suite to accommodate everyone and at very least made sure rooms were adjoining as many are not.

Hmmm 0 cruises listed. IF you did go on this cruise... A suite would of been a better option and there are food places that are open 24-7, like pizza place.

Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations. I am confused about giving one star to the crew and also saying they were great. If you cruise again, be sure to double check your cabin situation. Most deck plans will indicate adjoining rooms with a “door” in the wall.

Sorry you did not enjoy it. It sounds like you may have gotten a guarantee rate instead of actually choosing your specific cabins. The downside to the cheaper price on the guarantee rate if you don’t have any choice over the cabin location. If your travel agent chose the cabins, then they should have been able to pick cabins that were connected based on the deck plans
