Review summary

Felt a bit like a princess in the tower on this cruise. There are only two captain's suites ont he ship, sitting above the bridge itself, and the views were AMAZING... when we could be outside in the May heat. :)

Embarkation

So fast! I don't think we slowed down enough to catch our breath before we were on the ship!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

We ate in the Silver Dining Room. Our team (Ketra, Jimmy, and Sharon) were amazingly attentive. A private tasting was arranged for our "discernng" 8 year old when Jasmine noticed that she was only willing to eat cottage cheese to see if we could expand her taste horizons as well. :)

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We had a laid back time, which was just what I needed. Onboard we took advantage of the pools, hot tubs, and shows, We playyed outt putt and wandered thr entire boat, exploring. Breakfast delivery for morning quiet on the balcony was special... I visited the spa, but didn't end up spending any other time there than the embarkation tour The kids clibs were amazing and exciting for our three minions. And the hammocks on Serenity were abit of a puzzle to get into. We persevered, however, and spent a few glorious hours lazing together swaying on hte ocean. :)

They loved Circle C and Camp Ocean. I Thnk they did more around the ship than I did!

...once we found it. (It was tucked away, and took a bit of effore to do so) my teenager spent most of her time here.

Camp Ocean

With a stingray and a shark, the programming kept the kids entertained and occupied so they could enjoy their crusie as much as we did.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiting team in the Silver Dining room (Kendra, Jimmy, and Sharon) were SUPER attentive Jasmine in the Golden Dining Room was a delight, especialy as a connection with Rajesh in the kitchen. Cruise Director, Cookie, was energetic and entertaining, especially when my youngest named her build a bear creation after him. Our steward team, Kadek and Ni Nagah also made our stay in the Captain's Suite lovely. Yana in Pixels went above and beyond to help us wth our photos, Youth directors and pixels staff went above and beyond in our search for the missing picture as well...

Ship Quality

This was our first conquest class after sailing Fasntasy class, so I *did* get a smige turned around. I do appreciate the 3 pools and multiple hot tubs though, and I like that there was a serenity deck AND an 18+ pool to cover the ranges of adults on the ship in addition to the pool for kids of all ages.

Cabin / Stateroom

Captains Suite - HUGE!!! I wo't be able to splurge for this size cabin for a while, I fear, but for a family of five, it was perfect. We took full advantage of the jetted tub, two bathrooms, and separate "master" suite area. The three sided balcony, sitting over the bridge, provided our own private porch. Granted, the balcony had no cover, so it was best used in the early morning (or evening, depending on directon of travel) or for stargazing at night. In addition, the room is on the corner with access to aother smaller private-ish area of the 9th floor fwd deck for more views. Our stewards kept our room clean with twice a day visits, though I am sure working around our back and forths to the room between the five of us must have made for some hectic scheduling.

Ship tip

Take a look at the deck maps before you go! Also... thos odd starship entrprise looking shapes are actually elevators. (I thought it was a seating aea when I first looked at the map.) When you get on, take some time to explore and get your bearings.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
Embarcation port - we drive, parked in a commuter lot, and took a shuttle in to the port itself. Quick and easy and super friendly

Nassau, Bahamas

We just got off the boat and walked the dock. I have been to Nassau before, and wasn't up to the strident and agressively solicitous energy of that port of call, especially not with three children in tow. I hear there are designs on improving the port to solve that issue. I would be excited to see those changes. From what I can tell, they would make the port of call far more palatable.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

Loved this! We did the Cathedral Cave and Blue Hole tour on Eluthra. Very enjoyable and educational!

Disembarkation

We had a lovely breakfast, and had enough time to track down a few lost items my children had left behind (yes, we were THAT family) without missing our zone number when it was called. About the only downside was probably the worst dirty chai I have ever had that I purchased at the coffee bar while we were waiting for our zone number to be called
