Review summary

This was the worst vacation experience I've ever had, my husband got sick after eating salmon eggs benedict and threw up an entire day, luckily the doctor on the ship gave some pills which helped a great deal.

Dining rooms were dirty, food was always cold, staff was not friendly at all, once, I wanted to get Asian food and as I walked up to the end of the line, the staff member held up a line in my face saying it was closed, he was rude, it's the delivery of the message, besides, I'm certain he could've let one more person in the line.

Our stateroom was dirty, old, sheets didn't smell clean, there were stains on the sheets and hair in the bathroom.

You are not exaggerating about the bad smells. We were on the Liberty September 2018 and the sewage smell was quite overbearing in many area of the ship. Carnival should address this issue.

My family may have been on the same sailing as you. Boarded on 1/20/2019 and disembarked on 1/24/2019. We have sailed multiple times, this was our first and last time on the liberty. The aft of the boat genuinely stank. Smelled like rotten fish so bad on deck 5, I couldn’t even stand to use the bathroom outside the comedy club / piano bar area. Other places as high up as the 9th floor smelled strongly of sulfur. Just not pleasant smells. We had the same issues with the dining food- it was always delivered cold. Not to mention the Maitre’d was not easy to get along with. We had several seating issues in the silver dining room and he was NOT accommodating at all. (We know this is not the typical practice of Carnival employees) Our family decided this was a “Training” exercise for most first time employees as most of them seemed to not know what they were doing. Our cabin steward Augus was AMAZING!! Our room was clean and he was the caliber we know and expect on Carnival cruises. We cannot say enough nice things about him! Over all, the cruise was good, just not the usual standards of Carnival we are accustomed to. The stink of the ship being the most difficult to deal with. It will not keep us from sailing again. Currently we have 4 cruises booked and cannot wait for our next one. Happy sailing!!!

We have been on the liberty multiple times, and going on her again in 3 days.. we have never had any of those issues at all...we have always thoroughly enjoyed the liberty and the staff have always been over accomidating and gone out of the way to be very helpful and friendly...
