Review summary

I really enjoyed my trip, but will never use a bank card again. I received an expenses summary at the end of the cruise and it was charged appropriately. However, every day my card was hit for everything I spent. On the 2nd day after the cruise, 2 more charges were sent to my bank that placed a hold on my money. The additional charges remained pending and eventually were removed, but it tied up my money during the whole process. I've sailed Carnival in the past and this has never happened before. Usually there's one charge at the end and it's taken out at that time. Next time I will just put money onto my sail & sign card on the ship as I need it.

Nice size cabin, but the fridge wasn't cold and ran a little hot. We had a small cooler that our steward kept filled with ice, so we didn't care about the fridge.

Ship tip

If you want a little solitude away from the crowds and an awesome view, check out the secret decks in the fwd section.

I'm curious to know how much the fees are now to use the ATM on board the ship. One year I did the reload method to my sign and sail card when it would get low, and I think I remember those ATM fees being $7.00 or more each time I withdrew cash. So the next time I went to my local Walmart, bought a Walmart card for less than 2 bucks, loaded it up with several hundred dollars, and used it as the debit card attached to my sign and sail account. I was able to do it that way because the Walmart card had the VISA logo on it just like a credit card or debit card would. My regular bank account was safe, I did have to wait for them to settle my account, but it wasn't like I had a super large amount of money being held over. Just sharing something I did one year. ;)

We’ve only used CC and cash. However we did make the mistake of not calling our bank before we left and had trouble accessing our funds from Atm. It took us 1 hr to get things strait with a bank rep to access money. I will never make that mistake again and will take cash out before hand Along with calling my bank.

Always use my Carnival Fun Point MasterCard to get double cruise points! 1 charge for total @ end of cruise

We use a credit card and then pay it off the next month.

We have used debit cards several times and haven’t had a problem.

I've never used a Debit Card, however I've read so many bad experiences. Best to use a CC

I think this happens if you use a debit card.. I have never experienced this with my credit card before

I'd NEVER use a bank card anyway. Regular credit card or like you said add cash.
