Overall the cruise was a great experience for a first cruise, we will be looking at booking another Cruise with Carnival just longer.

The water slide and pools were nice. The only drawback was several instances where unsupervised kids were allowed to horseplay around the pool with Carnival staff standing near by watching, clearly ignoring the no horseplay signs. I had to literally sit at every pool to watch for the safety of my 10 year old daughter.

We only wanted to relax ,so we didn't focus on the entertainment

The staff who maintained our cabin and who made the meals were nothing short of amazing,any request we made they fulfilled.

We loved the cabin/balcony,we wanted to sit on the balcony several times an enjoy the ocean view. This happened some but not as much as we would have liked, the ppl in the next cabin smoked so much it was unbearable,we wanted to sleep with the door to the balcony to listen to the waves, but could not since they were smoking. My wife has asthma so this is why this was not good. The cabin was otherwise Great and comfortable.
Ship tip
The sales on Merchandise on the ship were a pleasant surprise, several sales were at 70% off, so bring plenty of money to capitalize.
The instructions to disembark were not clear,we went to the floor that we were told to,only to be told that we needed to go to the other part of the ship,all of the stairs were blocked so using an elevator was a nightmare with so many people trying to move around.
