Review summary

Fun to be with family but cruise was nothing special. Too many people so we felt herded.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Ran smoothly. Wait time to get on the ship was reasonable.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Buffets were good, although really crowded the day at port. We did not go to any specialty restaurants. Service in the dining room was poor. I had to ask for my water glass to be refilled. I had to ask for butter several times when we ran out at the table. Communication was weak. We had relatives at the late seating and they had a much more pleasant dining experience. We ate breakfadt one day in the dining room & service was extremely poor. Service was slow & when my son-in-law asked for additional food, he was made to feel like he had done something wrong. It took us two hours to eat at the breakfast buffet!!

Blue Iguana Tequila Bar

5 out of 5

Venue was great. Bartenders excellent.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Fitness center was nice. Table tennis was fun. We did see a 11-12 year old boy go down the water slide & scream. When he landed he had a huge gash in his head and was bleeding all over the slide & water. Attendants seemed unfazed & did not react to an emergency. The father had to rush over & put a towel around the childโ€™s head & bring him to the onboard doctor. The slide was opened moments later. It was very traumatic for guests (my granddaughter observed it all) & staff acted as if nothing was wrong. Our grandchildren would no longer go down the slide & were concerned about the boyโ€™s health the rest of the day. A very scary experience.

Czar's Palace Casino

2 out of 5

Too Smokey. We dreaded every time we had to walk by or enter the casino. We wanted to listen to performers outside the casino, but it was too smelly.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows were good, but the 80d show was too loud. Hated joe stage lights pointed towards audience. We were constantly having to shade our eyes because the lights were so bright. The cruise director was absolute terrible I believe his name was Trevon, but he introduced himself as Trrrrevon, like he was stuttering. He also swore on game night. During the family event, Hasbro Game Show, he was trying to get audience members on stage, urging kids to come up to him. When kids excitedly approached him, he loudly said, JESUS CHRIST! We were shocked & very uncomfortable since we had many children with us & his behavior was totally inappropriate given the families who were present.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Waiters - not as attentive as I would expect. Cabin steward - good

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Saw cup & spoon on the stairwell for several hours. Surprised the ship wasnโ€™t cleaner.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Inside cabin was as expected.

Ship tip

Donโ€™t expect luxury. Adequate, but nothing special.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Walked around the port & sat on the beach. Nice area, just not a lot of time to do too much.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Fine as we were in no hurry to leave.
