Review summary

Embarkation was a breeze. We experienced issues in the Golden Olympian dining hall, however everything else on the cruise was great. Debarkation was a nightmare.

We arrived at the port at our assigned time. We were on the ship in about 30 minutes.

We were assigned to the Golden Olympian dining room. We had negative experiences on 2 evenings. The waitress was inattentive and the food was cold. We complained to the dining room staff and they didn’t do anything to improve service. On the last evening we were seated in another area and the service was great! We did not have any issues at the buffet, Silver Olympian, or other restaurants on the ship.

The shows and DJs were great. I especially liked the music trivia, comedy shows, and the married couple game.

Disembarkation

the debarkation process was horrible! Floors 5 and 9 were listed as waiting areas. We left our rooms to go to the closest designated waiting area on the 5th floor. Debarkation was extremely delayed. The 5th floor was so crowded that we had to wait on the stairs. People were everywhere! We couldn’t get to the elevator to go to deck 9 to see if it was more space. We waited for over 2 hours! The delayed debarkation negatively affected our travel plans back home. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had on a cruise ship. Something needs to be done to ensure that no one else has the same negative experience that we did.
