This was my first cruise and I was nervous. This was a totally new experience for me, and it couldn't have been better. I went with a date and we were with 3 other couples. We all had a great time. The food was excellent (Thank you Rashon @ The Golden Olympian!!). The entertainment (especially at the comedy club - Doug Williams!!) was great. The activities were awesome onboard. The ports we stopped at were cool experiences too (TRY SNUBA/SNORKELING in Nassau, if you have never been!!) Overall, it was amazing. I'd do it again. 4 days was plenty for me to be on a ship sailing, but I wasn't ready to come back from the Bahamas!
Embarkation

I heard pros and cons about taking a cruise, especially when it came to Carnival, but the whole process was great. From the security and parking employees outside the ship to security and staff inside the ship for embarkation, we had a VERY friendly and nice experience.

I heard from several friends to not have high expectations when it came to the food, and we are quite picky. That being said, overall I thought food & drink deserved 5 stars! The food from the steak house to the breakfast/lunch/dinner buffets were great! The golden dining room was our group of 8's favorite. We had the BEST server - Rashon in the Goden Olympian room. He treated us with the up most hospitality and was so lovely. We DEFINITELY took extra care of him at the end of the night! We had him the first night, by pure luck, and requested him the next 3 evenings! Thank you Rashon! You were one of the most memorable parts of our trip!
Golden Olympian Restaurant

The golden dining room was our group of 8's favorite. We had the BEST server, Rashon, in the Goden Olympian room. He treated us with the up most hospitality and was so lovely. We DEFINITELY took extra care of him at the end of the night! We had him the first night, by pure luck, and requested him the next 3 evenings! Thank you Rashon! You were one of the most memorable parts of our trip! Also, when it comes to food quality/presentation/taste, I am a pretty picky eater and my date was an executive sous chef, and we thought the food was EXCELLENT! Great job Carnival!
Onboard Activities

We didn't really take advantage of activities on the ship. We enjoyed the hot tub and indoor pool. One of THE BEST experiences though were going to see the comedians at The Punch Liner every night! One night we went 3 times in a row! Doug Williams was SERIOUSLY the best. I have never laughed so hard in my life - for more info on him you could look up #section8cruise - hilarious. My date had luck at the casino every night. Outside of the smoking inside, I thought it was fine!

The towel animals on the beds every day were such a NICE treat! The entire staff was so nice, accommodating and helpful. We did not have any issues with bad attitudes or sour people at all.
Ship Quality

Other than the smell sometimes on the Lido deck, overall, it was well-maintained and very clean and the restrooms were always kept clean, which as a lady I appreciated a lot.
Cabin / Stateroom

WE. LOVED. OUR. ROOM. The ocean view was perfect. We were at the front of the ship so it was less bumpy. It wasn't too loud because we ere away from the music and festivities. It was always clean when we came back. The size for what it is, we thought, was great. The beds were SO COMFY, EXCEPT to make a larger bed, they just push two twins together and we both kept falling in the crack in the middle - which couldn't be helped, but it was still a good sleep.
Ship tip
If people are sharing a room and want 1 bed, maybe do a single bed, rather than push two twins together. The smell on Lido deck was my only "complaint" but over all it was a 5 star experience. Great cruise. Great staff. Great Captain. Great adventures.
It was cold and rainy, even while Snorkeling and Snuba, but overall it was a great experience. WARNING: If one of the ladies say "hair braiding 5 minutes! CHEAP!" Just know it's $4 for half braids/$9 for full braids and it DOES NOT take 5 minutes. But, go see a woman by the name of Peggy - she was very nice and saved us a lot of time for our other excision by recommending us take a taxi instead of a ferry to Atlantis!
BEST. PORT. OF. ALL. This was so much fun. We had the best time here and wished we could have stayed longer! We bought snorkels for $20 for the day and stayed in the water the whole time. We saw Lobster, an octopus, conch shells with crabs in them while out in the ocean...it was so cool and there are lots of shops to get souvenirs. Free lunch was great!
