Review summary

this was by far the worst cruise ever. They tried to force me to by an alcohol package for both adults in the room even tho one was unable to drink and the front counter woman that I was talking to spoke to me like I was mentally incompetent and was incredibly condescending. Then the food in the main dining room was terrible my sour cream came out boiling hot and soupy. I asked my waiter what a dish was and he told me it was a beef soup what came to the table was luke warm melted ice cream and he was rude. That was just the first day. The only thing that lifed my spirits while I was on that boat was donkey the entertainment director for the boat. Outside of him the cruise itself was the worst I have ever been on. When I asked to speak to one of the managers on the boat I was told they were too busy to speak to me about my concerns and that the rules were the rules and no one can change them. Maybe you might want to consider a guest relations class on the liberty because they treat the guest like crap. On top of all that I was forced to pay the gratuity on my bill even tho the staff was beyond rude.

A bit of elementary research before booking the cruise would probably have solved your problems.

cruised twice in the Liberty and it was fantastic both times. Donkey is a fantastic Cruise Director. Only bad cruise we have ever had was the one we didn't take!!!!

I was on the Liberty this past November, and everyone I encountered were very nice. I work with the public, and quite frankly it's how you approach someone that determines thier response.

Yea you have to purchase the alcohol package for each adult in your state room

As of now we plan to purchase the cheers package. My husband and I have been trying for our second for close to 2 years now and I know my luck - I will get pregnant before the cruise. I called carnival and asked if I do get pregnant can we cancel mine, and purchase for him only and nope. I get that sharing would cost them money but idk how beneficial it would be for me to buy it when I can't have alcohol. Only good thing is it includes milkshakes..vitamin water...I think smoothies? it also includes soda and premium coffee but I would limit caffeine intake so not quite sure if that's worth it. ð..just wish they could come up with a way to make it work for just 1 adult to purchase it if the other can't or doesn't drink..

a year ago I was on the dream. there were many problems, with staff, bar attendees, food and more. call the company and express your feelings...talk with a manager. if you have names things will happen. you can always talk to the director of the motel management , don't ever let them tell you no..yes things should be change

it's clearly written that all adults in the room has to purchase the drink package. they did not force you. I don't drink either, so we didn't purchase it. never spent the amount per day that the package costed.

sorry to hear about your horrible experience. The cheers program needs to be chsnged, I agree. You can take off your gratuities at the front desk while onboard.
