Review summary

I would not go again on a Carnival Cruise. It was too crowded, we could not get a reservation in the nice restaurant because it was booked. The thing I liked the most was the fitness center and the wait staff in the one restaurant we could get in.

@usmc2004 you can call carnival directly and have them combine your booking for dinner at the restaurant. If you booked trough a travel agent call or contact your agent and they can take care of contacting carnival for you.

We hadn't booked a reservation at the steak house on our last cruise on the Carnival Freedom. When we boarded we were told the restaurant was fully booked for the first night. We like to go the the first night. While I was enjoying a beverage on the Lido deck my wife went to the restaurant and talked to reception. We got a reservation at the time we wanted with a window table. Our usual. We've had 5 excellent cruises on Carnival with with number 6 booked for April, number 7 in November and number 8 a year from November. We plan to try RC somewhere in between and an Atlantic crossing on Cunard. So I guess you can say Carnival has given us the cruising bug.

Wow my grammar is horrible! What I meant is how do you make reservations early for the steakhouse. I can do it via my manger but we are trying to sit at the same table as our friends who we are cruising with

How do you go an early check for four people that are two different bookings. My wife and I are cruising with out friends, we would like to eat at the steak house. We want to make a reservation but how can we do it where the four of us are at the same table

To reserve early, go to your check in page, go to specialty dining and set up your date and time. I set ours when we booked in July.

Book early. I've never had a problem. We usually eat in the main dining room.

reservations are able to be made months in advance. we booked the steakhouse for our April cruise back in January when we booked

Take a smaller ship out of a Tampa, New Orleans or Mobile.

I just booked my 11th Carnival cruise for January 2018 and already have my dinner reservations, like always, in advance.

then vacation on any ship is not for you specially on the oasis because they carry about 6000 people at a time. and if u ever do vacation on a ship make sure you do your reservations early just like the other folks did. so giving the ship 2 stars is not fair, is not their fault u didn't know cruises carry other people and is not their fault you didn't reserve ahead of time lol

You should check out Royal Caribbean ! I went on the Oasis of the Seas and it's huge ! Best cruise I've ever been on
