Review summary
This was our 8th cruise...traveled on Royal and Carnival (both old and new ships). We took our children for the first time, so we stayed very busy...camp carnival staff was amazing...my child looked forward to each activity. As far as evening activities...not too much...unless you liked to dance, which we do...so that was the only appeal. Wished piano bar was open more AND that there were shows...very disappointed. Comedians were okay. Very crowded pools and no room for my children to swim on Sea Day around 3:00...lots of adults instead. Stateroom was nice size and accomodated 3 with a pull down bunk. LOVED IT! Bathrooms were also bigger on this ship. Had a huge problem 1st night in main dining...spoke to Matre d' and he was VERY RUDE. Fortunately things got better because we complained. LOVED our wait staff after that...they went above and beyond...but Matre d' never checked back with us...AND expected a tip from us? No way. Food was bland...no great meal to speak. about....but we never had anything that tasted horrible. Overall...great vacation. For the money ...it was a great deal...family enjoyed it as a whole.Ship experiences

Pros: Embarking and disembarking VERY VERY fast!! Clean ship and GREAT camp carnival activities for 8 year olds
Cons: The Matre d' in the Silver Dining Room was incredible impersonal and RUDE when I requested a change in dining; limited amount of healthy food in main dining; no shows.
