Amazingly CLEAN

Sail Date: June 18, 2011

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Inside

This was our 8th cruise...traveled on Royal and Carnival (both old and new ships). We took our children for the first time, so we stayed very carnival staff was child looked forward to each activity. As far as evening activities...not too much...unless you liked to dance, which we that was the only appeal. Wished piano bar was open more AND that there were shows...very disappointed. Comedians were okay. Very crowded pools and no room for my children to swim on Sea Day around 3:00...lots of adults instead. Stateroom was nice size and accomodated 3 with a pull down bunk. LOVED IT! Bathrooms were also bigger on this ship. Had a huge problem 1st night in main dining...spoke to Matre d' and he was VERY RUDE. Fortunately things got better because we complained. LOVED our wait staff after that...they went above and beyond...but Matre d' never checked back with us...AND expected a tip from us? No way. Food was great meal to speak. about....but we never had anything that tasted horrible. Overall...great vacation. For the money was a great enjoyed it as a whole.

Pros: Embarking and disembarking VERY VERY fast!! Clean ship and GREAT camp carnival activities for 8 year olds

Cons: The Matre d' in the Silver Dining Room was incredible impersonal and RUDE when I requested a change in dining; limited amount of healthy food in main dining; no shows.

Recommends Carnival Liberty? Yes!

Food and Dining
Ship Quality
Big ship...very clean...public areas were amazingly well groomed.
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Wait staff over and above in Silver Dining late seating
Children's Programs
Wasn't planning on using Camp Carnival, but my daughter went with us to the orientation and and wanted to try it...she loved it!!
Cozumel, Mexico
We always go to Coconuts!!! GREAT as always
George Town, Grand Cayman
Turtles, Turtles and extra was fabulous....loved bus guide!
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Went to Paradise Beach Club...booked ahead of time on carnival...great time...good food...but getting there was a HUGE hassle...hated having to go through all the "hagglers" to get to relax!!! Be sure to get on the right bus...or you'll end up at Dunes Falls and waste time (unless you wanted to experience it).
