Review summary

I was able to book this cruise for a total of $270 including fare, tips, and taxes. I was very happy with this cruise. Good weather and I had a fun time. No complaints!

Embarkation

2 out of 5
The cruise port in Baltimore usually takes about 30 minutes or less from the time you park, to the time you are on the ship. However, we had a check in time of 2pm, and waited outside in the cold for about 35 minutes before we were inside, and another 25 minutes in the terminal. Overall it took about 1 hour to board the ship. (Later on during the cruise we were told it was a customs issue that delayed embarkation.)

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Same expected Carnival food in the main dining room and buffet. No complaints.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Since the Legend is a smaller and older ship, activities and entertainment were to be expected. I never had a problem finding a deck chair by the pools. I do wish the Legend had a Seaside Theater (Like the Pride) did when it sailed from Baltimore.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
As always, the theater shows were amazing! Leigh, the cruise director is a blast!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Luke (room steward) and Fatima (casino bartender) had excellent customer service! The rest of the staff were also great and remembered my name throughout the cruise! The staff on the Legend are amazing!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Carnival Spirit class ships have the best layout of any cruise ship I have sailed. Plenty of room. Many cabin style choices to choose from. The perfect size ship!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
4K cabins are great! Obstructed views. Deck 4 is a decent deck. Easy to access the main facilities/bars/main dining room on deck 2 and 3 by stairs. And same deck assess to the main theater.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

5 out of 5
If you live in Maryland, Baltimore is the easiest cruise port to sail from. From the Eastern Shore (Where I live), nothing beats a two hour drive to take a cruise! Baltimore City however….well it’s Baltimore.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Disembarkation was to be expected.
