Review summary

Itinerary: We were fortunate to have Glacier Bay National Park on our itinerary, it was the highlight of our entire trip. Each Alaskan port offered something unique that could not be found in other ports. Good number of ports for the price. Entertainment: Entertainment was above average compared to previous Carnival cruises we have been on. A naturalist was on board throughout the trip and her lectures were very informative. A great variety of evening entertainment, more than just the standard evening shows that can be seen on any Carnival ship. A folk singer came aboard one night to perform his one man show singing his way through the history of Alaska (incredible!!!). Trivia and Bingo were on par with other Carnival ships. There was a comedy show almost every night. No movies on the Lido deck, but it was too cold anyway. There were some newer films played earlier in the evening in the comedy club. Food: Let's face it, Carnival is not known for its food. I cannot comment on the buffet, as I never eat there. I stick to Blue Iguana, Guys burger joint and of course the main dining room. If you have ever been on a Carnival Cruise before, expect to see many of the same dishes, just much more fish (you are in Alaska after all). I was disappointed there was not more wild game. If you are hoping to try Elk or reindeer, do so while in port. Service was 10/10! Decor: Dated decor but not something I put much stock into. The beds were comfortable and the ship was clean, that is what was most important to me.
