I had no idea there was even a retractable roof lol learn something new every day 😆

Can't wait for the upgrades and refit. We're going Melbourne to NZ in November. We were on Legend in March and yes it was a little tired in some areas but we also Knew it was going into drydock for work so why complain? Love the Legend. Love the staff. Love Carnival.💙💜

Unfortunately, there's probably only so many food options on that long of a cruise, but I agree about the weather Summerholiday!

We were on the same cruise.. yes shes due for a refit apparently happening when she arrives in Vancouver ... Repetitive food as it was an 18 night cruise I thought for the amount of time on the ship the meals in the MDR was good they had a different theme each night , Mexican, Italian, french.. we only had a shake for breakfast then salad sandwich for lunch most days and then MDR for dinner we aways avoid the buffet thats not for us ... So enjoyed what we had captain done a great job adding Tonga to the itinerary as fiji was flooded .. can not comment on the pool as we did not use it only the hot tub a couple of times .. Is was the time of year for that kind of weather so thats to be expected but we enjoyed the ship staff, and awesome ports 21 cruises and not had a bad on yet off tomorrow sydney to Singapore then two weeks in asia then cruise back with the spirit... when we went to Alaska on the ship no many people used the pool area at all if you want sun sand and water go somewhere else and another month but Alaska was amazing who cares about a pool in the middle of winter you go for the different experience and you sure get that ... I give our experience a five out of five shame you did not see the positives of this awesome cruise adventure....

Legend actually went into dry dock today, so I'm sure a lot of those issues will be addressed. Also, it's getting all the updated restaurants so that's a huge plus!

Well, that answers my question... I was wondering about the retractable roof for the pool. Bummer. But still looking forward to the cruise. For Alaska, I have read many reviews regarding rain, so I am prepared for it.

Sounds like cruising may not be for you. We have yet to be on a ship where something wasn't broken, cruise lines can't control the weather, the whole idea is a sampling of ports not long stays.
