Review summary

This ship was horrible, the food wasn't appetizing at all, and the ship layout was so bland... they didn't have many of the things onboard that I looked forward to. They should have a better ship for an Alaska cruise, because you pay so much.

I’ve never had a bad meal on a cruise ship, and the legend is a ship I’ve sailed.

We have been on many Carnival ships including the Breeze and the Dream. We really liked the Legend!

Legend is being upgraded prior to her next Alaskan season. If you want a newer ship wait until Ovation of the Seas starts sailing in Alaska in 2019

Love the Carnival Legend. Some people just don't relax, enjoy and have fun. Too many whingers these days. Always check everything before you buy anything including cruises!

We did the Alaskan cruise last August on the Legend. Had a great time and was pleased with the food, entertainment and other amenities. Primary reason for the cruise was seeing Alaska and the Legend was able to get close to the Glacier.

You chose the cruise, the ship, and agreed to the price Kylie. If you didn't do your research in advance to know what to expect, that's on you, not the ship/cruiseline.

Everytime ive looked into the Alaskan cruise irs been on one of the smaller older ships. It probably has the updates and been to drydock at some point. But if your looking for a bigger ship... its probably not going to be in Alaska. Better do some research. Most people go for the experience i would guess.

I'm so surprised that you didn't like it...we did Alaska on Carnival Legend 2 years ago and it was fabulous! we loved the food...the staff was fantastic, the ship was spotlessly clean....and the very best thing was off the ship...the wonderful natural majesty of Alaska! I felt so small in comparison to the enormous outdoors!! No, the ship is not the "WOW" factor of some of the larger ships, but it also was not crowded...we will always remember that trip....and we will always remember how great it was

The Legend is an older ship. Next time, if you look up any ship's features you will know exactly what to expect before buying. Some people look forward to a roller coaster on board; I look forward to there not being a roller coaster. With a little research we can all get what we want or at least not be disappointed. With thousands of food dishes throughout your cruise, are you sure you did not like one of them? Alaska is expensive but it's the same ships used other places😞

Sorry to hear that. Yes, Alaskan cruises are expensive, and a week eating non-appetizing meal will ruin a vacation. Did you use a travel agent?
