Review summary

Where's the tropical fruit? Too much waiting in line. Good for families with young children, not elderly. Cruise line should make that more clear so that customers are not disappointed. If you expect to be catered to and treated like a pampered guest this is not the cruise for you.

Food and Dining

Did you say this was a Caribbean cruise? not a mango, papaya or guava in sight. Good cafeteria quality with lots of choices, especially for families. Hamburgers and hotdogs were plentiful. My best meal was Indian curry from the regular menu. Head chef, being Indian, knew how to make that. Otherwise, food was usually served less than hot, and several meals were not edible. We liked the 24/7 pizza since it was available when we wanted to eat, which was before regular dinner hour. Would have liked more Caribbean choices on the menu.

Entertainment

Variety shows had more costume changes than a leopard has spots. Not relevant to the Caribbean. Singers were a bit weak. Sound system could have been better. They tried hard though. Best joke: sunbathers on top deck are like watching rotisserie chickens baking and turning....

Service and Staff

All very friendly although obviously taxed to deal with overcrowding.

Very clean, decor was greco roman baccanale, appropriate for all the drinking on board.

Cabin / Stateroom

Loved the balcony. A bit tight for 3 adults. Decor was nice although not a Marriott. Storage did not accomodate suitcases which was a problem. Liked having the stateroom aft near the food service for easy access although a long walk from the entertainment at the front of the ship.

Cons: waiting in line
