Over all a good fun getaway. I'm all set for a cruise in March and September 2019 both on Carnival and both out of Long Beach. It really is what you make it.

Embarkation

Since the remodel of the terminal, embarkation is so easy. The key is to get there at your embarkation time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

I'm been on the Imagination several and most times the food is very good. This time I actually enjoyed the buffet letter then the MDR. Guy's Burger's we're exceptional as usual and the pizza was good this time too.

Pizzeria

I'm so happy the pizza was the thin crust. I enjoyed the pizza so much better this Cruise then the last cruise.

Mirage Piano Bar

Usually this is my spot after the show each night. However this cruise it was not good. We had folks in the bar trying to sing along, unfortunately we didn't have a good piano player, he wasn't interactive and didn't engaged the folks.

Grand Buffet

For me on this cruise the Buffet was better than the MDR. This is a first for me, but I really did enjoy the buffet. There could be a few more options but it was still good.

Bar

Alchemy Bar is the best bar on the ship hands down. The main Atrium Bar is probably the next best bar. The bars at the pool and buffet are okay and the most busiest.

Onboard Activities

The activities need a bit updating but over all it was fine.

The Fun Shops

The fun shops carry all kinds of stuff, you will usually find something that you didn't know you needed....lol

Imagination Promenade

I do like the promenade on this ship, because this is a much smaller ship, the promenade is shorter. It's well thought out with everything you need. It gets a bit busy in the evening with all the cruiser's and the photographers set up.

Entertainment

The comedy shows were the best entertainment on board, the shows were ok and my favorite stop the piano bar was a huge disappointment. But over all it was fine. Dynasty Main Lounge

The dynasty lounge is the main venue where most of the show's, bingo and games show's are used for. This is a busy lounge.

Service and Staff

Lydia & Sam at the Alchemy Bar are best. They made my experience at the Bar the best I've had. My waiter staff in the MDR was good. My cabin steward was probably the worst I've ever had on Carnival, I had no idea who he was until the last day. Usually my steward introduces him/herself on the first day and the checks in on me through out the cruise.

We carried our luggage off like we always do and had no problems. Note: since the remodel walking to get to customs is a lot further, be prepared it's a hike.

Yep we love the west coast cruises! Port is an hour drive always easy in and out and the cruises always work out well!

You are right. I see so many people on here complaining about how bad their cruise was,,,your on a cruise ship for Heavens sake! It is what you make it to be.....
