Review summary

Lido buffet is NOT good. At least the two times we tried it. Pizza joint, Guy burgers and blue iguana are pretty good. Employees are very nice, work super hard all day to keep everything clean. Spirit dinning room was our assigned restaurant. Waiters were incredibly friendly and warm. Elevators are super slow, solution stairs, which helps you digest all the food. Cheers program is great if you want to drink. Just be responsible. There were a few drunks who were rude to guests and staff members and that’s embarrassing and annoying since these folks were grown ups. They do take a lot of photos EVERYWHERE, so if you want to buy them, make sure you’re looking great. Prices range from $12 to $16 per photo. The Dynasty lounge has many shows, little silly, make sure you go with a having fun mentality and not expecting a Hollywood production. Comedy club was actually pretty decent with the comedians they had. There are many kids who take over the pool area, which is understandable. But I chose not to get in it since I was looking more to relax. If you want children’s energy, then you’ll be fine. There was rocking which is normal for a ship. We had a hard time adjusting, however, we never got nauseated. Just a funky sensation even when you’re on land already. Room was cozy, 2 twin beds and a clean bathroom. Closets were big enough to store clothes and shoes. A safe is in the closet too. No fridge. Bathroom has a shampoo and shower g dispenser. You get plenty of towels. The room has AC and can get chilly sometimes. TV has a few channels with older movies BUT who cares. You’re out and about all day to enjoy every deck. It does get chilly windy in the evenings. Disembarkation. It’s NOT at 7 am. Be aware in case you need to leave early. It gets really crowded and that was the ONLY thing I felt the crew wasn’t as organized. The actual day, there was a need for the crew to conduct people of where to go to start the line. Many fights and grumpy people trying to cut in. Just be patient and have manners so everyone can have a fantastic time. If you aren’t a people’s person... this might be challenging.

Ports of call

Catalina Island, California

It’s a small cute town, few breakfast places, many shops, public restrooms, casino, small beach. Nothing out of the norm to have it considered as a MUST do. Make the best out of it, if you decide not to go, you won’t miss much.

Ensenada, Mexico

It’s big, clean and has security checking that only cruise folks are in the area. There’s a $4 bus service to downtown Ensenada ( to and from). We took a trip to La Bufadora, keep in mind restaurant there is pretty pricey. Shop vendors are a bit pushy ... no big deal. It’s the way they make their living.

There is no refrigerator. I believe you may rent one. But it’s not a standard amenity
