Review summary
I would like to go on another cruise now that I know what to expect. I was less than impressed with the lido deck buffet, but the dining room made up for that. I’m a bit of a germ freak and usually have a hard time sleeping away from home in “strange beds,” but I slept so well on this cruise! I wish the rooms were DEEP cleaned a little better in between trips...(toilet - YUCK)...but our steward (Mark) was so friendly and willing to help. As for the cruise...anyone “bored” on a cruise is a weirdo because there is ALWAYS something going on. Our 13 year old twins loved the game show, Trivial Pursuit, the water slides, etc. I had never been to Catalina and I’m okay if I never go again. I don’t understand the hype. All four of our sons loved Ensenada - we went to the blowhole (La Bufadora) and the open air markets. On sea day, we relaxed by the water park and we were fortunate enough to see two whales and a HUGE group of dolphins that played near the ship for forever! Our Captain parked the ship near Catalina on our way back to Long Beach so that we could watch 4th of July fireworks over the ocean. I think we will try another cruise...but on a bigger, newer ship.Embarkation
