So thankful the cruising industry is back in business. We had a great time made new friends and are ready to sail again Thanksgiving week.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We had a 10:30-11 time, we arrived about 10 walked right in showed our passport and boarding pass. Went to another person that checked immunization and negative test results stamped our boarding pass and from there were directed up the escalator. We were sent right to a check in desk, showed our boarding pass and passport again got the second stamp and told to have a seat. FYI there is no separate area for Priority boarding however we were the first group called when boarding started at 11:15. We were on the ship in less than 10 minutes. Our Havana Suite was ready so we dropped our bags and went adventuring.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
I’m not a foodie, I actually eat plant based and I didn’t lack any choices. We did YTD ate dinner at the Meridian Dining Room. Our head server was great and helped me order dinner each evening for the following night. They are willing to help with any dietary needs you just have to ask. My husband eats a regular diet and enjoyed everything he ate.
Buffets were as I remembered, good choices.
Onboard Activities

We only did Trivia it is always fun. Because we were in the Havana area most of our time was spent there socializing and enjoying the private pool, hot tub and bar.
Entertainment

Went to Jazz show, meh, left half way through. Did the comedy show a few nights going to the different acts, we didn’t enjoy each comedian
Service and Staff

Can’t say enough about the service and staff! Everyone went above and beyond to make the cruise as enjoyable as possible. They are truly glad to be back at their jobs and are thankful for us traveling again. We always take a stack of $1 bills to tip and give extra to our dining room staff and room steward.
Ship Quality

Love the Havana area, we will always try to cruise the Vista Class if it’s available for our dates and itinerary choice.
There was constant cleaning, hand sanitizer and hand washing stations readily available. Carnival does a great job keeping this ship looking great inside and out
Cabin / Stateroom

Love the Havana area. First time in a suite we’ve done the Havana Cabana. For me the bathroom and shower were the absolute best part of this room.
Ship tip
My advice is try staying in the Havana area. Well worth the money but be warned you will be spoiled!
Drove from Atlanta stayed in Pompano Beach did not go to Miami
I was not given the other ports of call to review so added them here !
Beach Cabana Half Moon Cay is worth every penny, $350 for entire party nor per person. 2 pop up thunderstorms gave us shelter while everyone on the beach scrambled for cover.
Pool Cabana Amber Cove was great, included snacks soda and WiFi. For us the music was too loud, we could barely
hear each other if we wanted to sit or float around the bar. Again one price for party up to 8 $350
Amazing! We did priority disembarkation and were in our car headed to Atlanta at 7:45. I was stunned there was no homeland security line to go through, I’m guessing the passport and facial identification system replaced the long security lines to re-enter the country?
