Just a fun getaway for the two of us, on to the next.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We checked in at 10, and by just after 11, we were on board, been to the muster station, and sitting in a hot tub with a Magarita
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food was pretty good, and the shimp cocktails were larger than normal. The mussels were awesome. The rest of the food was prepared well and maybe a little smaller than in the past, but it was not necessarily a bad thing. You can always get a second helping. The wait staff in the MDR were fun and very fast. Dinners were an hour or less. On our last few cruises, dinners were taking forever. A nice improvement.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
We don't really participate in much other than watching the ocean go by, meeting new friends and people watching. Speaking of that, on the way back from Cozumel, someone mistook an oil platform for a tornado (I don't understand either), there was screaming and people running everywhere. The entire deck cleared out, people running for cover, leaving maybe 20 of us who laughed for an hour. Funniest thing I ever saw.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Pretty fun shows, I still haven't gotten to see Just June, next time for sure
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Can't say enough nice things about our steward, Raphael, he did such a nice job for us. The MDR staff, Rico, Eka, and Wibert, kept us laughing and got food for us in short order.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
People are cleaning everywhere all the time. There was some ship maintenance going on, but that's to be expected in a nonstop environment.
Easy breezy. We went to the theater and sat for a few minutes, by 7:30 we were in the car. Another reason to get a passport is that you basically just walk right through customs.
2 stars for Jamaica because it is just a terrible port at mahogany Bay. There is very little to do unless you take a 50 mile bus ride. I've also felt rather unsafe there. We did have a wonderful snorkle adventure there, just not this time.
