I absolutely hate the long process and the wait to get into our rooms. We traveled all day and had to stand in long lines while tired and hungry.

In the future, it might be helpful to purchase the FTTF package since you mentioned that you have small children. My DH and I used this for our first cruise and skipped the long lines and were able to go straight to our room when we boarded.
