Review summary
This was the worst cruise that I have every taken. Me and my husband both got sick from eating food from the burrito bar. While sitting on deck 10 in the smoking section we were seeing some type of bugs. Took pictures went down to guest services and they acted like it was nothing. What made my trip enjoyable was the people that I met on the ship. Carnivals quality has gone down the drain. Our cruise was changed from eastern Caribbean to western and they only gave each guest a $15 credit. They do not have to ever worry about me and my husband ever sailing again with them again.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. This was my experience and I am entitled to say what I want about MY experience. Now if anyone wants to send me and my husband on a cruise feel free to do so and we will go where YOU PAY for us to go. But if we are paying then we expect to get what we pay for. And buy the way this was not my first cruise I have gone on several to be exact 10 and have never experienced what I experienced on this cruise.

Being in the U.S. Coast Guard I certainly know about weather and having to change pots of call due to weather. I have sailed in bad weather and I have flown in bad weather to save people all over the globe. I am sure knowing the possible consequences of sailing into a severe storm I was more than happy with the changes.
In essence, with the business of my life, I was happy just to go.....I personally could care less about which ports they take me to, one island looks like the next and all the islands have basically the same concept excursions.
I ate at the Blue Iguana and I did not get sick once. I found the food quite tasty and wished they were open longer than they were. I have a very educated palate and enjoy all different kinds of foods. If you had issue with the Blue Iguana perhaps ask them to tone down the spice or make another wise choice in food.
Be grateful we did not sail the original itinerary. 1 month later we lost a cargo ship The El Faro in a hurricane with 39 souls aboard, 28 were American. Cruise ships can go down too. As far as the $15.00 per person refund they gave, that was based upon the differences in port charges. Seriously, considering what we pay to cruise, the $15.00 is negligible and just enjoy your time.
I never saw bugs on the ship nor was the ship "dirty" just needed some love and renovations.
