Review summary

The ship was virtually identical to the Conquest - the ship we had on our first cruise. It is a top notch cruise ship. My biggest problem was with the fact that they allowed young children to roam around in the Casino on several nights, in spite of many signs to the contrary. The crew never said anything to the parents, even though they were fine with the kids dancing to the tunes on the dance floor - there are many other places on the ship for this, and it was most annoying.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was fine, though it seemed a step below our first cruise on the Conquest last year. The Steakhouse ($30 added per person) was top notch and well worth the price.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We thought the entertainment was more coordinated on our first cruise. The guy in the piano bar wasn't very good this time around.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
These guys always work so HARD and are always cheerful. I have no idea how they do it!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The crew worked really hard to keep everyting spiffy. Kudos to them!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We opted for a balcony room this time - it probably wasn't worth the extra $, but we did enjoy it from time to time.

Pros: Belize - the people were wonderful, and the cavetubing adventure awesome

Cons: How quickly we had to get back on the boat in the ports of Belize and Roatan - what is the rush? There is PLENTY of time to make the next ports.
