Review summary

Best staff and the perfect size ship. Lots to do but not so big you get lost.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Alot easier than last year as the covid restrictions have been lifted. Once we got in the terminal things were smooth and the staff was very helpful with directions and help (2 disabled adults). The parking however was a nightmare. It took us an hour and a half once we dropped off our luggage to get parked and then we still paid over $100 to park in an open lot, farthur away (again disabled adults with mobility issues) and it was an uncovered open spot. We were not prepared to have our car sit in the direct sun for 5 days like that. Otherwise things went really well.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Dining room was delicious, staff was amazing as always. The buffet was not as good as I remembered from last year. That was a little disappointing..

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Mani/Pedi in the spa, kids club, pool were all awesome. Staff is thoughtful and so mind-blowing how they remember you for every interaction.

Entertainment

Children's Programs

Staff was fun and engaging

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Asep and Sunny in the dining room were so great & accommodating. Our room attendant Iwayan was hands down the best attendant we have ever had and I will shout his praises from from the Carnival Funnel. He was spectacular

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The Ship was clean everywhere and constantly as always. The only thing is when dining in the Chic restaurant: it was next to imposible to get to our tables with a person with a walker and another on crutches. It was complicated and embarassing so we did not eat there often even though the food was better there than the buffet. Maybe Hostesses can work on training so disabled bodies do not have to go up stairs or walk to the very back of the dining room, even if it means waiting a few minutes longer. We do love the ease of the anytime dining and using the app to sign in for a table.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Fold down bed for the kids were very squeaky and did not feel as secure as previous experiences but the room over all was great and our room attendant kept everything clean and well stocked for us.

Ship tip

Get to the comedy show early and embrace the staff. They all work very long hard hours et always smile and make a point to remember you.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

3 out of 5
Usually this port is smooth sailing (pun intended) they really should work on more parking help until the construction is completed. It was a nightmare and a very stressful start to the trip

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Beautiful as always. Definitely recommend Rainbow Calypso tram tour. you will learn so much about the island and see some really great things.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
Literally had tears in my eyes at the beauty of this port. There is so very much to do here, wish we had more time.

Disembarkation
