Review summary

This was an overall great cruise. We had the best cruise director we've ever had and would cruise on the Freedom again just for him.

Entertainment

Overall the entertainment was great. I will say the comedians in the comedy club were horrible and not really funny at all. It was that I found them offensive, they just weren't funny. The rest of the entertainment was great. The cruise director is a comedian and was fantastic, he should be there regular comedy show.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our restaurant staff and room steward where great. The dining staff remember our names, our drink preferences and even when one of us wasn't at dinner. Our head dining person saw us in the buffet and remember our names there when she saw us too! Our room steward took great care of our rooms. We forgot a power cord for our CPAPs and he brought us one to use. In one of our rooms the air wasn't cooling very well so he brought a fan for that room without being asked to do so.

Cabin / Stateroom

Plenty of room in our cabin. We had 9 people spread out over 3 cabins, all the same type of room and had plenty of room to move about and for all our stuff.

Ship tip

Don't forget a non-surge powerstrip!

We did the snuba excursion with Stuarts Cove. We booked through Carnival for this. We had done this once before but had a few people with us that had never done it and wanted to try it. This is a great excursion. We absolutely love the staff at Stuarts Cove.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

The beach here is great but it is difficult to get in the water here. It is SO rocky and painful on your feet to get in the water. If you just wanna lay in the sun, enjoy the picnic lunch provided (which is great by the way), or sit at the bar and listen to the entertainers it's great but the getting in the water is a pain, literally. If we go a cruise in the future where this is a stop we'll stay on the ship.

Disembarkation

We did early disembarkation and had no issues. It is crowded getting of the boat but it went quick. Probably only took us 20mins tops to get off the boat, go through customs, get out luggage and get to the car. The porters were super helpful. The guy we had took our luggage all the way to the parking deck where were parked and helped us load up both cars.
