Review summary

Cruise review for Carnival Freedom, 4-day cruise RT from Port Canaveral. Inside Stateroom #8329. ------------------------- PROS: ------------------------- Our stateroom attendant (Lloyd) was always happy and smiling. He always remembered our names and kept our stateroom clean. As expected the food was excellent (especially the pizza, Guy's burgers, barbeque, salads and desserts). Princess Cay was great (nice clean water and beach plus lots of beautiful tropical fish). Comedian Manny Maldondado was very funny. He had me laughing so hard my face hurt. ------------------------- CONS: ------------------------- Stateroom #8329 is very noisy at night (when you are trying to sleep). I heard the sound of water rushing at high speed through pipes in the walls. Don't book this room! Poor water pressure in the stateroom shower. Comedian Carl Guerra is terrible. Many people walked out of his act early (including me). I was very disappointed that none of the live bands played Latin dance music. Since this cruise leaves from Florida, there are many Latinos aboard, so Latin music is expected. I am not Latino, but I would have enjoyed dancing Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Cha Cha in the Atrium Lobby at night. This has not been an issue on other Carnival ships. If you can't teach the band how to play Latin music then have the DJ play some Latin music in the Atrium Lobby at least one night of the cruise. The musicians in the Centuries Bar were labeled "Dancing with Wonder Duo". This is false advertising. This band does not play "dance" music. This band plays "funky" listening music. The variety violin music played in the atrium/lobby was nice, but none of it is danceable. Too bad since you have a nice empty wood dance floor during their shows. The Freedom Rock band that plays in the atrium/lobby has some equipment problems. First off, the left most electronic drum head is broken. When the drummer hits it, it makes no sound. This must be fixed. In addition, the drummer is drowned out by the other musicians (guitarist and keyboard). This doesn't make any sense. The other musicians need to hear the drum beat in order to stay synchronized. Also dancers need to hear the drummer because that is what we dance to (the drum beat). Please adjust the sound board (mixer) so that the drummer can be heard. I was very disappointed to hear that there was no roasted garlic available to sprinkle on my pizza. I asked several times and was told that they didn't have any. I have enjoyed Carnival Pizza Pirate pizza for many years and this is the first time there has been no roasted garlic to put on the pizza. I hope this was just a one time oversight?
